The XL500R- Our premium model in R Series, Ideal for big swim platforms together with heavy dinghies or jet ski.

With rails system allows your dinghy or PWC to be pulled back and locked down close to the transom when underway. This minimizes the overhang weight of the tender, relieving the weight from your boats trim to make the boat easier to plane and providing a smoother ride. It also provides better protection during transport, especially in rough weather and when you're anchored, you can push the lift out and your dinghy or jet ski will hang outside the platform, freeing up space on the bathing platform for other activities.

Unlike other systems that permanently take up space on your platform, our rail system is ideal for high swim platforms or heavy tenders and provide extra space if you have a deeper swim platform on your boat. As the XL500F the XL500R is our premium dinghy davit or jet ski lift model designed for heavy-duty dinghies, offering effortless lifting and storage for your dinghy on the platform of your Boat. This model is our most appreciated and sold model by customers around the world.

It's a smart investment for any boating enthusiast who demands the very best. With a lift capacity of 1100lbs/500kg, XL500 is well-suited for heavier PWC or inflatable dinghies such Williams jet tenders, SeaDoo, Highfield dinghy, Zodiac and many other brands. When it comes to choosing between a fixed or rail system for your Prestomarine lift, it's important to consider the size of your boat, the depth of your swim platform, and the size of the watercraft being lifted. Our lift model serie F require a swim platform with a depth of at least 20 inches/500mm.

If your swim platform is less than 35 inches/900mm deep, we recommend selecting the F series for money saving. However, if your swim platform is more than 35 inches/900mm deep, we recommend selecting the R series

If your PWC or tender weighs more than 770lbs/350kg and your boat is less than 40 feet, and your swim platform depth is 35 inches or more, we highly recommend the R series to maximize your boat's performance. So, when it comes to choosing between a fixed or rail system for your PrestoMarine lift, consider the benefits of rails and which option best suits your boat's needs. Rails are not necessary, but they help secure the dinghy or PWC closer to the back of the boat while moving.

This makes the ride smoother by reducing the tender's overhang, especially for boats under 40ft with a tender weight of 770lbs or more is our customers experience. How much weight does a PrestoMarine® lift add to my boat?

The L200 lift itself adds 155 pounds (70 kg) to your swim platform. The XL500 lift weighs 180–200 pounds (80–90 kg) depending on what type of bracket you choose. With rails you have the higher weight. However, inside your engine room or Lazaretto we must add a hydraulic pump that weighs 38 pounds (17 kg) including one gallon of hydraulic fluid.

Should I buy a lift with fixed (F) brackets or the rail (R) system?

If your platform is less than 24 inches (600 cm) long, you should buy an “F” or “fixed system” because the rails will not help balancing the weight on your boat. The dinghy is already as close to transom as possible. With platforms over 32 inches (900 mm) long, you can choose either one of them. The “R” or “rail system” is to get the weight of your PWC close to the transom so that the boats center of gravity does not move too far aft.

Will the additional weight on the stern reduce my boats’ performance?

Any time you add weight to the transom of a boat you will affect performance. The trick is to minimize the lift weight and to keep the center of gravity forward over the swim platform. Our system will keep your tender/pwc untouched by acceleration or deceleration wakes and is less likely to be affected by following seas. Because of the low weight of our lift system we have less impact compare to hydraulic platforms.
